Happy December

The most wonderful shining star at the Methodist Christmas Program!

We have been having a rocking good time this December. I think the fact that it has only rained once and the fact that Spence has only been in California once has been the main source of my joy. But I have really kept is so simple this year, I've said no more times than I'd like to admit, I didn't force traditions, we just did what we had time for and what we really wanted to do and while I'm sure this doesn't make me the most popular person, frankly I couldn't care less. The less stuff I get invited to the less stuff I have to continually say no to. I like to enjoy the holidays with my kids without being a phycho Mom. Here are some activities that I have gone to that I have LOVED.

Auri's Christmas Program, where they don't substitute the word "holiday" for Christmas. It is a Christmas program that celebrates Christ. It is so beautiful.

Afterwards we took her out to lunch, also a great time.

There is no better way to get to know and like you kid than one on one time with them.

Birthday Lunch at the Cheesecake Factory with my sister Holly.

What in this world would I do without my dear sisters??? I can't even imagine.

Sunday night cookie decorating with the whole family. This isn't just a good picture, the kids were really having as much fun as it looks.

Yes, I know, the cookies look like crap, literally, but it was a rocking good time.

I love it!! I, too, LOVE when people actually use the word Christmas instead of holiday. (It's getting ridiculous.) one on one time is the best--it really does let you get to know the kid so much better. I love, too, not having the distractions of other siblings. The cookie decorating LOOKED like it rocked. :) Awesome!

Cute little Auri! Her haircut is growing out nicely and she looks sooo happy in all of them - what a good mamma you are!
