Andrea's Wedding

My Mother-in-law has this hidden talent of finding all things that match. She will go to great unstoppable lengths to find things that match. Her efforts and talents were put to good use for this beautiful wedding. I seriously think she should go into business. Everything for this wedding matched and it looked spectacular! My little Aurie's bracelet matched the cake, the candy on the tables matched the flowers that hung from the windows. My husband's shirt matched the table runners. Seriously, it is an impressive task that this woman undertakes just to match. Look at the photos and see for yourselves. The table centerpieces match my boys suspenders. I wish I had the attention to detail that she has.

By the way, Carla and Andrea gave me those flower balls
they now sit proudly on my fireplace mantel.

The cookies that match the M&M's that match the ribbon on the cake that
match the men's shirts.

All the red candy she found. In person it was much more beautiful and it made the kids giddy with joy to walk in and see this table. It had Swedish fish, M&M's, taffy, only red gummy bears, white chocolate with red speckles in them. It was really cool.

This is what you saw when you first walked in the house.

I love this photo, I wish I was in it, but it is still really cool. Did you notice that Auri's shoes match the boys suspenders, (Carla also purchased the shoes)

Daddy Daughter Dinner Date

Remember those Young Women's activities, the ones when the girls have dates with their dads, well I have always thought those were a little weird, but these photos did remind me of them and I thought for a moment that it might be a little cute. Aurie loves her Dad more than anything else in the world. I think you can see it in these photos. By the way, these were taken at Andrea's wedding. Don't you just love the color scheme?
Her colors were apple red and Tiffany blue. I'll post more of the wedding photos later.

In all these photos she is smiling at Spence.

This is my favorite.

Actually in this one she is trying to take the bow out of her hair.

Updated family Photo

In this photo we are a little more matchy matchy but I don't love it as much as the one below.
It is kind of a silly picture, but this is what my family looks like in my mind. This was taken at the rehearsal dinner for Spencer's sister Andrea's wedding.

Lincoln City Beach Weekend

For Mothers Day Spencer got me a beach getaway with my sisters. Generally my motto is "low expectations is the key to happiness", and this weekend proved my motto to be worthy of being repeated. I was expecting just a quiet weekend with lots of sleep and relaxation and to maybe stop at the outlets. However, thanks to some enthusiasm from Holly and Kiran, this weekend was the most fun I have had in a long long time. It included many restaurants, shops, walks on the beach, cafes, fudge, uno, the outlet stores and the movie Star Trek. Good times.

We started the weekend off with lunch at Sage Cafe in McMinville, OR. It was awesome.

We went to several little boutiques and shops and bought jewelery and accessories.

One of the boutiques where I got 2 necklaces.

Where we stopped for a little ice-cream, I got the no sugar added, low-fat cherry. It was divine.

This is a little cafe with live music in Lincoln City. It was across the street from our beach house. Here we are getting smoothies and tea for breakfast.

Holly and I waiting for our order.

This is me smelling the coffee. Yes, in spite of the fact that I don't drink it, I love the smell.

We asked a nice stranger to take a photo of all three of us. I love nice strangers.

Another nice stranger took this one.

Me, I wish I had a tan. I think it would make me look 5 years younger (in the short term)

Holly and I had an Uno championship. In spite of what she says, I won.
