Weight Watchers

I have been "dieting" for 3 weeks, exercising 5 days a week, with at least 45 minutes of cardio each day and I have not seen one change on the scale. Not one pound, not one half a pound. I am either ready to cry, eat a brownie, or see a doctor. I'll definitely cry, I just don't know what to do next. I have even been taking photos of me in my work-out gear, I just don't know if it is appropriate to post them, I can't tell if there is a difference in the past 3 weeks. I still want to cry.

oldies but goodies at the Pumpkin Patch

It is Sunday, I don't have much to do but clean, so I thought I'd write in my journal(or in other words- blog). These are some photos from Halloween past. I have always loved taking the kids to the Pumpkin Patch. I just think the colors in the photos are beautiful.

These were taken in 2003, Warren was 9 months old.

We love Max

Max really wanted me to take a photo of him during breakfast the other day. This is what I came up with. Not to bad, I wish I looked this cute when I woke up.

Thank you Mario

Warren had his first T-Ball game and I have to say I was impressed with him. While many of the kids in the out field were sitting down, looking around, talking to other kids, Warren was running for the ball, trying to do double plays, yelling at other kids to throw it to first. His first inning he got 3 kids out. He is so competitive. Thank you Mario Baseball for the Wii.

Have I mentioned that Grandma Hansen loves birthdays? These are just a few of Auri's birthday gifts. The Tinker Bell is from me and the "Big Baby" is from my Mom and the rest are from Grandma Hansen. She really liked all her toys, although I don't really think she got what was going on. They boys loved watching her open them.

Grandma Hansen's Easter

Easter Morning we had an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. Grandma Hansen sent up all their goodies for there Easter Baskets, and Auri got her first taste of gum. It was a huge hit. She also sent up some chocolate eggs with prizes inside the egg, this provided about 40 minutes of entertainment and sheer joy.

Anderson Women

Holidays always make me sentimental and reminiscent. This past Easter Sunday I was trying to focus on the Resurrection while my kids were on a sugar high, and I couldn’t help but think about my Gram. Truly one of the coolest ladies I know. People have described my sisters and I as kind of feisty and strong and opinionated, well it all comes from this woman. So on Saturday night I got out one of the few things I have of hers, a red cake stand. I baked a carrot cake to take to Holly’s house and carried it proudly on the stand. When I got to Holly’s house, she opened the door looking stylish as usual (me in jeans and a sweatshirt) and I commented on her gorgeous sweater and she said it was Grams. That made me feel good. Good that my sister can pull off wearing a sweater that is possibly 30 years old and good that we had 2 things at our Easter dinner that were in the presence of my Grandmother Anderson.

On to other great Anderson women. My Mom created a treasure hunt for the kids rather than the traditional egg hunt this year. It went over quite well, the kids were absolutely giddy about it. And not to sound too sentimental, but my Mom made lemon bars for dessert which always remind me of my Grandmother Brownfield, who is my Mom’s Mom. Whenever we would go to Boise for our little summer vacation she would have those there for us, along with frozen cherries, cranberry juice and homemade bread in the shape of turtles, which we would get to make with her. This is what I love about holidays and my religion, it brings into my mind a clear memory of these people.

Dad bought us new sweatshirts for Easter this year.
