House Color

This is my new house color. I think I got a little arrogant. I have been painting the rooms in my house for years now and I have only made one mistake in picking out color, that was Max's room. I painted it green and the next day it looked a little pea green, which I couldn't stand to I re-did it 2 days later. Well, I think I made a huge mistake with this one, and the sad thing is I can't correct it.
I went to Sherwin Williams to pick out 4 paint shades of blue, I even painted huge chunks of it on the front of my house and the back. But when the painters finished, packed up and left, I wanted to cry! It is way too bright!!! It stands out like a sore thumb in our neighborhood. Most of the houses around me are brown, yellow, a weird shade of mauve, or various shades of off white. I feel like I have offended the neighbors with my bold statement and I feel like I just got too cocky with paint color. Tell me your honest opinion. Is it too bright.

I kind of hate it, what should I do.

I think it looks a hundred times better than the tan! The pictures really look great.

Love the black accents, the shutters and the door!

I'm not just saying it. Give yourself a week to adjust to the color, it's just so different is all.

I love it. It shows off the the lines of the home so much better. You went from totally drab to totally fab. Its the black I couldn't put my finger on it. Its so great.

I said blue from the beginning. Give it a week and you'll come around. Forget the neighbors we're non-comformists.

I love it! I will have to do a drive by to see it in person but it definitely looks muted enough in the pics. I've always been a sucker for blue though...

Give yourself some credit, it looks great! Your not a middle of the road kind of gal, this way you're making a statement. I agree with everyone else, give it a week and I bet you'll like it a lot more.

I don't think it looks too bright, but then if it wasn't what you had in mind, then it's probably 100 times worse to you than to anybody else. If you hate it, you could try painting the garage to match the accents (shutters and door). Or is that weird?? I'm not very good at this stuff. I agree--give yourself at least a week to get used to it being different, and see if you like it better.

So I am going with everyone else in saying that I really like it. I wish I could see it in person. I hope it grows on you!
